Kinetic Direct Injection (K-DI) Injectors are Nostrum's high flow DI solution featuring our patented nozzles that allows multiple jets of fuel to collide with one another which which utilize kinetic energy to produce superior atomization of the fuel and shorter liquid lengths that prevents film accumulation on the surfaces of the cylinder walls and piston. This allows Nostrum High Performance injectors to provide a cleaner burn while maximizing cold starts, idle quality, and mid-range performance.
Our premium line of K-DI represents peak performance technology in the industry, providing accurate spray targeting that fits the architecture of your vehicle and exceptional flow rates which has been optimized by the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to ensure that you are getting the most efficient amount of fuel delivered.
Nostrum K-DI injectors are all tested on Nostrum’s temperature and pressure controlled production injector test stand. This testing includes multiple preconditioning cycles followed by testing for tip leakage, resistance, inductance, dynamic flow, static flow as well as injector opening and closing time. Nostrum K-DI injectors are then sorted and batched based on dynamic flow, static flow, offset, injector opening time, and injector closing time (Based on SAE high pressure gasoline fuel injector testing standard).
