1st Gen 3.5L Ecoboost Swap Wiring Patch/Chassis Harness and Fuse Box Kit by JEM-Sport.

This kit includes a patch wiring harness and fuse box necessary for a Ford 3.5L Ecoboost "Gen 1" (Just Direct Injection) engine swap into any chassis.  We offer a separate part number for the "Gen 2" 3.5L Ecoboost (Direct and Port Injection) HERE.

This patch wiring harness is designed to work with the engine wiring and modules found in the "Gen 1" 3.5L Ecoboost models.   This includes 2015-2016 3.5L Ecoboost F150, -17 Expedition, SHO, Lincoln MKT, and more.

Our patch wiring harness will take care of everything chassis-mounted.  The Ecoboost ECU has two main connectors.  One primarily for the engine harness, and one primarily for power distribution and chassis connections.  This product listing is for the chassis-side harness.

This patch harness will allow connections for these key functions:

  • Power distribution
  • Fuse box
  • OBD2 port
  • Accelerator pedal
  • Ignition switch
  • All new wire, pins, and connectors.

There are 2 different 1st Gen 3.5L scenarios. We call them Gen1"A" and Gen1"B".

Gen1A is the ~2014 and older style that is much more complicated to work with if you plan to use an Auto. But this is what the discontinued Ford Performance pack was based around. We can replicate it, but it's not advised to base any new project around this.  These use a number of additional sensors(some discontinued), making swaps more difficult and forcing you to use OEM intake and charge tubing.

Gen1B is the newer style. 2015-2016 F150 3.5L, and 2015-2017 Expedition 3.5L. This is what our 1st Gen 3.5L patch harness is based around. And our ECU/PATS programming by default. As long as you have an engine harness from these models, it will include the connections for the 6R80 and work.  These are much easier to work with due to the use of more modern sensors(and less of them) that are still available.
