Engine Harness

Ecoboost Engine harnesses, on the whole, are specific to their ECU generation ranges. For example, 2015-2017 Mustang engine harnesses have the correct pinout for that generation ECUs. Plugging a 15-17 ECU into an 18-23 engine harness will not work as the pinouts are different.

FWD engine harnesses get even murkier with both of their main ECU connectors being part of the same harness and many changes throughout the years.

Chassis Harness

Most of these harnesses are specific to their generation and ECU. Harness year should be matched to a corresponding ECU generation. much the same as the engine harness section. Pin locations and layouts changed throughout the generations causing problems with mixing and matching from different generations and/or years

Injector Subharness

Gen 1 2.0 (single exhaust port) is different from the rest of the generations that became standardized through the years. Starting with the Mustang 2.3 and into when the 2.0 became a twin scroll head, the injector subharness became standardized across the models (there may be some slight differences mostly in the rail pressure sensor connector style sprinkled in.

Sensors

Some engines have a crank sensor with different connector type though we have not concretely confirmed these variations, Gen 1 2.0 has a smaller capacity rail pressure sensor and will run out of capacity with upgraded power adders. Gen 1 2.0 takes the temperature reading from the charge pipe in stock form while the 2.3 and later 2.0 takes the temp reading from the manifold pressure sensor in stock form. If using our complete engine harness the temperature/pressure sensor needs to be in the intake manifold. We needed to do this for the harness to be universal for 2.0 and 2.3

Alternator

There seem to be two variations FWD and RWD. The difference between the two is where the connectors and power stud are located on the alternator. They are completely interchangeable in their form factor
